There are a variety of facets to the business, which might not
at first glance be recognized. Not only do they add to the
diversity of the product but also create the opportunity to
maximize income. They are:
Bure accommodation
Restaurant
Many guests purchase a "full board" package;
Moored yachts encouraged to dine;
Crocodile, Long Island guests who visit are encouraged to
dine.
Kiosk -- providing snacks for guests, day visitors and yacht
crew
General store -- provisions for yacht crew and guests
Souvenir and merchandising sales
Beachcomber Bar -- open from 11am daily servicing guests,
day visitors and yacht crew who are dining
Tour desk -- booking trips for guests and yacht crew varying
from Outer Reef
trips to seaplane/helicopter flights to
sailing on a maxi yacht.
Moorings - $55.00 per vessel per night includes berthage
and use of facilities
Palm Bay Cruising Yacht Club -- membership promotes
merchandise sales.
Although these income opportunities are well developed there
is still scope to expand the revenue currently derived.
Potential exists for the expansion of accommodation and other
income producing facilities/services.
