Palm Bay Hideaway - Once in a Lifetime opportunity
Central complex
The main building is a focal feature of the resort and has been customed along the lines of a traditional Pacific 'Long House', It houses the main reception, office, and large restaurant with open fire and a classic beach style bar. Attached are a substantial commercial kitchen, cool rooms and food storage facilities.

The building is timber framed with paved floor, high gable roof and half height timber side walls and slat frame window/shutters to the roof. Adjoining reception is a kiosk and small general store catering for guests and visitors.

One of the features of the resort that is most welcome by guests is the absence of television and radios in the rooms. The resort philosophy is to create an atmosphere that stimulates relaxation allowing guests freedom and privacy. For those who choose to mingle, the central complex is ideal. Its Polynesian design coupled with the naturally cool indoor/outdoor feel provide a unique setting for guests to gather in a comfortable friendly and informal atmosphere.

Recreation Facilities
Palm Bay has been built around a reputation of rest and relaxation. Recreation facilities include a beach volleyball court, variety of surf skis, windsurfers and snorkeling equipment.

The resort has two vessels. One timber designed as a passenger barge for meeting guests. The second vessel is an open design used for guest transfers and local expeditions.

Activities are generally centered on the beachfront bordering the lagoon. Why not laze under a tree in one of the many Mexican hammocks provided or simply relax in a comfortable beach divan. For the more energetic there are a number of National Park walking tracks.

Pool Area
Adjoining the central complex and reception building is a very attractive kidney shaped pool and spa surrounded by tropical ferns, shrubs and flowering trees. A large paved area with the lounge and dining facilities borders the pool. This is the ideal spot to take advantage of either the afternoon sun or shade under the old mango trees.
